Darkhorse's rámbles, verbal and physical

Jup: back in the states, head home via DragonCON and Fiji at the beginning of September.
I've decided to give Livejournal another bash: I've prettymuch given up on keeping a written journal over the summer. Either I'd be too busy or just slack about filling it out and so haven't really written anything in it since I went on the hiking trip to New Mexico at the beginning of the summer (four days of walking, four of car travel) .
It bites a bit because Ive done interesting things - especially the
Faerieworld Festival in Oregon where I got to meet Toby Froud (the baby from the Labrynthe) and some really awesome, and I mean truely great, people who let me share their campsite and carted me around, but I have no written record of it and left my digital camera in Elfie's car when she dropped me off at the houston hobby airport so I had to buy a disposable for the festival - I got the photos developed this morning: they're a hell of a lot better than my disposable shots usually are but they are still really really disappointing after getting used to my digital (o-furu-furu).

About a month before I head home: still got to sort my travel plans for the next few weeks yet: and am planning to haul my arse into gear and get some large polished art done - get my portfolio truely rolling and look into getting prints made.

I also intend to overhaul my livejournal - put a proper background in and start sharing images and reading what my friends have been up to (not that I currently have any listed but I'll add them as I refind my lists ^_^
